Martin Karlsson, in collaboration with Gustav Kjellsson and Mikael Lindahl from the University of Gothenburg, and Christian Dahl from the University of Southern Denmark, has secured a grant from the Swedish Research Council. This grant will fund a four-year project aimed at investigating the individual and societal impacts of one of the most substantial educational reforms in Sweden during the 20th century.
This 4-year project, funded with 6.8 million SEK (approximately 620,000 Euro), will focus on digitizing invaluable archival resources and connecting them to contemporary data. By doing so, the research team aims to comprehensively assess the individual and societal consequences of this pivotal schooling reform, shedding light on its impact on life chances and inequality in Sweden.
